Floating gas indicator? Reading wrong after fill up. (Pics included)

I stopped and filled up my gas tank at Exxon, pumped 91 about $45 when the pump clicked and stopped. As I drive to the 1st stop light I still show only 114 miles (left to empty) and the bar is only half full. I killed the engine and started it to the same display. Did the same thing again after I got home, and again this morning. The bar is filling but "miles till empty" keeps going down not up.... Let me know if anyone has seen this B4? 2024' manual Z car by the way

Not this exact issue and not on my Z but my 2022 Frontier gauge always shows less fuel than I actually have in the tank. I took it to Nissan and they (of course) said there was no issues and wouldn't do anything.

Your issue looks way more extreme than that though. If it keeps happening I would take it to the dealer as it's much more obvious.

I'm spaz if they tell me this is normal or say fill up only at 1/4 tank (I did by the way) the car cuts power after half at tank

I witness similar the other day. It was in the red bar section, I filled a bit from the jerry can, it slowly creep up but the mileage stayed the same / dropping as I was driving.

I think I am experiencing the opposite sort of behaviour. I fill the tank and the bar goes to to full and DTE says ~350.

No way the way I have been driving it.

Doesn't the miles to fill-up depend upon your average/current mpg?

This is an unfortunate problem that has been around for decades.

The DTE not updating or slowly updating when you add a small amount of fuel (under 1/2 tank) is pretty 'normal' for cars that have saddle tanks.

I didn't get a "real" answer but I'll share the explanation: New 24 purchased in Feb. 2800miles, still STOCK. "The battery terminals must have wiggled loose causing the computer system to go haywire" they disconnected the battery (resetting the computer) and said it's all good now. I don't have a real cause but I got a solution. Still might happen again
