I've been wondering if the sr20 fwd blocks have a different bolt pattern for the tranny than the rwd blocks. I've looked on google for hours and couldn't find a clear picture of the back of the engine block.

This is an age old question lol - I imagine as the years go on and the RWD SRs dry up it'll be asked a lot more by the new generation.

So if you're just trying to do FWD SR in a RWD car, nope. Starter, water inlet, intake inlet and distributor will all be a problem.

Can you take a FWD head and slap it on a RWD block? - Yes.

Yeah sorry I just got a 300 and I'm planning to engine swap it but yeah the sr20det rwd are getting expensive and I'm only 16 so I'm looking for the cheap options

Throw a 1J or a RB25 in it, if you're seriously going to go through with a swap - don't waste time with a SR.

I wanted this car to end up with an rb26 but for now I just want a turbo 4cyl that can get me to around 300whp. It's just hard to find a decent jdm engine for a good price at the moment.
