I'm pretty disappointed with Nissan for doing this. If there is a good reason behind it I guess it makes a little more sense. I just don't understand why they didn't get a donor motor instead.
I wasn’t exactly sure where to list these. I have for sale:
ZSPEC Radiator Caps - 60.00 shipped (90.00 MSRP)
ZSpec Oil Cap - 60.00 Shipped (80.00 MSRP)
Z1 High Pressure Radiator Caps 20.00 each shipped (30.00 MSRP)
At the rate im going you may have it installed first lol. Assuming I get the car back in time for ZCON I may not have time to even get the GruppeM system installed. I will update you though as so as I know for sure.
My GruppeM system arrived shortly after my post I just dont have my car back yet to install it. I already have the Z1 CF system so the hard or annoying part of removing the factory boxes is out of the way.
I also got the HKS cross beam cover to go with it. Probably will have to trim it a bit...
Glad to see they are getting production to a decent number. We may start actually seeing other Zs in the wild in the next year or two. My area is usually blessed with new car model spotting but the Z has been one of the harder to find.
I do not know of any other options currently. I just know two people that had to get them removed after installing due to issues with gear position. I know in my 370z I had a similar issue and it was just an adapter plate that wasn't lined up properly. Without it being my own car I cant say for...
Mod list looks nice. From what ive heard I would avoid the Z1 short shifter. Id also purchase the entire fleet of Z1 suspension and bracing upgrades. This car needs it badly if you are after any kind of road feedback and a stiffer chassis. If you plan on going for more power later save yourself...
I went to order the Blitz system because it appeared slightly cheaper and is the GruppeM system. After shipping and import fees it came out to around the same price. Not only that I wanted it before ZCON and Blitz couldn't guarantee it being here before September. GruppeM also offered to price...
It is recommended on these cars to tune after any change in airflow. It almost always causes overboost and premature wear on the turbos and possibly failure. Overboosting can also cause other issues. Why are you against a tune? If you are worried about the dealer you can flash it back to stock...
Haha yeah it is never easy. As I’ve gotten older it definitely takes the fun out of it more than the younger years. I know the end goal though and once we are there all the BS will be laughable.
So the drama continues. Car sat at the body shop for over two weeks, which in a way was a good thing. Their lead fabricator injured his shoulder and needed surgery the weekend before they were to start on my car. He would be out 3 months. So needless to say that isn't enough time to have it...
I currently have an AT but as @MacCool mentioned, it was a known annoyance with 370z's. I do not know if they are still around or make them but a company called RJM made an adjustable clutch pedal that completely solved the issue. I had it for my 370z.
The Z is home, trying to get it fully tuned this week and have it dropped off at the body shop early next week. Have the HKS Carbon Radiator Brace and GruppeM Carbon Ram Air system on order. The rest of my Axis Carbon parts arrived yesterday and im shipping out the Liberty Walk rear diffuser...
Z1 just called, we know the problem. CHRAs are in the wrong housings. They have not revised the instructions to these turbos yet and the person that gave me the instructions via email, left it out, or didn't know themself. They are getting them swapped over and covering a large portion of the...
Ali and I both got the Z1 VRX70B turbos and all the fuel support mods to max them out. AMS Stage 3 HPFP, AMS Stage 2 injectors, and Hellcat LPFP with relay bypass. My install hit a little snag and isn’t finished yet. I Think he made around 650WHP on pump gas.
Engine is finally out of the car and Turbos removed. Hopefully they were shipped out yesterday to Z1 for inspection. I would love to have an update by the end of next week.
