That generation of WRX is notorious for rust, especially the rear strut towers.I just don't drive the Z's in the winter...stored. I drive a 2005 Subaru WRX and yes it has a few rust spots.
That makes the price go up.You know what I'll have to ask my Bride if she wants to sell it. I bought that 3 years ago and spent many hours restoring and upgrading it. I even have a permanent scar on my forehead while installing the leafsprings
That’s extremely reasonable. I would go for it if I had the opportunity. I can’t find anything for less than $100k or so right now.
Can you let us know if you’re experiencing that previously reported 2nd gear crunch? Even a hint of that is a deal breaker for me.I turned it all the way up. Fade to rear + 2 notches…treble up +4…bass +2. All
The way up to max volume.. played Santana, Loverboy, Avicci, Pavaratti,
John Prine etc etc.

Sounded perfectly good to me. Although I think it could be louder
More than reasonable for a limited production run Z. Hell I would buy one if I could find a proto with only an $8500 mark up too. Nearest dealer in my area wants $75k on top of the Proto MSRP.
So one Proto for $130k + tax or 3 base Zs with money left over for some mods?
