Seems consistent with my experience as an owner. The car is huge fun. I’ll say it again, the problem with the looks isn’t from the haters, it’s from the general public who will stop you to chat, ask for a photo with the car, and race up to you at a light to ask questions and pay compliments. But I’m sure that the internet warriors know better.

That said, I’m looking forward to 3 pedals.

That looks so much cleaner than the hot mess we ended up with.

Satisfying to watch. Glad to see that they "fixed" the issue with the serpentine belt being sucked into the crank seal. I wonder if the OFHG still leaks as often on the newer engines. Loved that second valvetronic spring explosion ?

That belt issue sounds crazy, I had no idea.

The VR30DDTT also had a belt-popping issue early on, but it rarely damaged anything. It was solved by a TSB to align the AC compressor.

That B58 certainly does look very well designed. The timing chain in the back is dubious....but then again the VR30DDTT needs to be dropped for turbo work, so I can't say one is better than the other.

I was initially thinking someone went hard on the tune, but hydro-lock is probably the better answer. Engine looked brand-freakin-new!
