Do you have any pictures of your 07Z? There aren't to many HR 350Zs.

Bought it off retired school teacher in Missouri, her husband owns the Mercedes dealership there in Fenton, MO. So the car only had 29k miles on it as whenever she wanted to drive something luxurious the hubby would bring something home. It is in pristine condition, interior looks new and the seats have Zero blemishes. She is the single original owner, never driven in the rain, A True Unicorn . . .

Don't be mad because you have no leverage in Nissan. Then if you do use it to get some better info than what I have. Go talk with Dan if you feel that he is just a face or a "marketing" ploy. I don't know what you think I'm here for but it's not to sell cars. I joined the forum to get info out to people and bounce ideas off of people as well. Report some really cool statistics and even make some cool friends as well. If I get to work with someone along the way that's just the icing on top.

But hey I appreciate you being my number 1 fan! 😁
I’m gonna say it up front…no offence

At the end of the day you are a Salesman in a dealership, just like every other salesman ( don’t mean this in a derogatory way…I use to work in sales) My point being, Nissan USA will not be permitted to give out any details to one particular dealer.
All dealers will get the same memo at the same time ( I’m pretty sure at least the top dealers will at any rate)
Meaning at the point you know more, most dealers will know the same….I highly doubt that Dan can give you extra information to others

BUT, the good thing is, that you will be able to share in the forum as soon as you do know…so there is that

I guess my only point is that you don't know anything else that we know. My group dealer hung out with Nissan NA senior leadership for a week in San Diego and they had no information whatsoever. He is a high selling owner with a whole group of dealerships. So if there was something to know...he would know it. Everyone has the right to be on here as an enthusiast but when the tone changes to taking names for a list to sell than I think it should be like LinkedIn and you should be charged for a commercial membership for poaching potential clients.

And I'm not angry that I don't have any pull within Nissan. My pull is my income spent on what will be my 4th Z car. But if my group dealer owner doesn't have any information or pull that means that no salesman in Canada, let alone the US that doesn't even have an allocation or preorder program, has any information or pull. How much leverage can you get out of one phone call?

man if i can walk away with a 45k perf stick id be ok with that
At 40k USD or just under, the Sport model would be the sweet spot for me. Especially given I get little enjoyment from the extra electronics/features. But the lack of LSD. :( Paying potentially 7k more, just to get an LSD, that would be a bitter pill.

That's what I'm expecting 45-47k for perf manual. Price will obviously vary based on options (color, add ons, ect.) but that should be expected MSRP.

I also work in one of the largest Nissan conglomerates in the US. Also by no means is there any attempt to pouch any kind of business from anyone. I am ludicrously transparent on what I do and say.

I could also I guess say that the time will come for me to spend the money on my 3rd Z but that's not where I have my pull. Knowing people directly related with chip productions, the import of Nissans, people in manufacturing, the head of communications and marketing, and more. The one phone call was mainly to state that I'm not some guy on Youtube saying "NEW INFO NEVER BEFORE REVEALED, BUY 400Z BLAH BLAH!" 😂
I'm just here to do what I can and help any way I can. 😁

I agree with you on the chips. They are actually called SIMs and in short supply. I am a national director for a SIM corporation. That was my pull with the Nissan group for my Z allocation. We produce these "chips".

It's SO much more than an LSD. Better suspension, 4 piston front calipers, LSD, launch control, bigger rotors and brakes, and a way better tire set up on the performance side. I do understand that the bigger screen, convenience features, and two tone paint may not be everyone's cup of tee. However, the performance trim is way more than just an LSD and some tech.

edit *safety features removed because I'm an idiot and that isn't true at all.

Aren't the safety features universal across both trims?

I guess depending on how much you owe (based on it being a 2018 I assume your in good shape) you are in solid shape. Looking at values you would only finance a few grand. KBB showing 37-40k puts you with a stupid good trade. Though with the private market someone may pay up to 45-50 for it 😂
