🤔 maybe, but if you let off the throttle and it sounds like Curly from the three stooges, then it’s not doing a good job. Also. If that was the case then Nisan wouldn’t have added them at all. (Just my thinking)

Yeah, and that discussion I linked wasn't sure there was an ECU induced rev hang, just saying that it might be possible.

Totally. I’m definitely not THE authority in the matter. I do have a pretty good understanding but definitely not 100%. I’m here to share and hopefully help others and learn in the process as well.

Well, after spending half the day installing the Turbosmart Dual Ports... I can say, no noticable changes from OEM (other then purring noises from the turbo after letting off gas, seem to have disappear). Could be still due to the fact my exhaust is louder then my engine and over powering any sound coming from the BOV. More parts are gettting added to the car, so hopefully after the Tune, we can get rid of "rev hang" and let this car actually sound and feel like a race car

EDIT

Disregard my last, I guess I didn't push it hard enough . Did a few pulls, and need to be above 4k rpm to hear the BOV whiplash, **** its loud

My plan is to get the Z1 air to air intercooler next year with the BOVs (prolly Z1 BOVs to save a few bucks + support Z1).
I am buying the Tomei type D Ti in a couple month here, A2A + tune next year.
Its all a money game, paid the car off in 9 months super happy about that.

Does anyone have a pic of the A2A on a new Z? Other than the Z1 images with no bumper on?

I have those same mods and even with tuning ive been told to stay away from bovs for our engines. I supposed that may be different with upgraded turbos making big power but otherwise id leave them as is.
Thanks. I had been considering them as part pop the upgrades but will not use them now.

Everything I have researched is these motors do not like atmospheric BOV's - the video shown above uses Dual Ports - at minimum I think you need to do dual ports - personally I'm staying away. AMS Intake, DP, exhaust and tune for me.
I looked at the Z1 Performance packages for the Z. Bigger turbos etc etc. No BOVs. I've used them since 2009 with my 370 Coverted to twin Turbos and trust them. No BOVs.

I get it and I researched when I got the car and everything I read and has been confirmed by tuners is these are bypass and really non-atmospheric. NO advantage. If you are looking for the "sound" go intakes. I changed my mod list from above it currently is 3" RAE Intakes which sound like a blow off valve, 3" RAE LDP's Resonated, 3" Catback RAE and SonicTuned - in the middle of tuing now. It won't let me post sound clips. I have posted on the "New Nissan Z" group on FB.
