Yeah, and that discussion I linked wasn't sure there was an ECU induced rev hang, just saying that it might be possible.maybe, but if you let off the throttle and it sounds like Curly from the three stooges, then it’s not doing a good job. Also. If that was the case then Nisan wouldn’t have added them at all. (Just my thinking)
Totally. I’m definitely not THE authority in the matter. I do have a pretty good understanding but definitely not 100%. I’m here to share and hopefully help others and learn in the process as well.Yeah, and that discussion I linked wasn't sure there was an ECU induced rev hang, just saying that it might be possible.
Thanks. I had been considering them as part pop the upgrades but will not use them now.I have those same mods and even with tuning ive been told to stay away from bovs for our engines. I supposed that may be different with upgraded turbos making big power but otherwise id leave them as is.
I looked at the Z1 Performance packages for the Z. Bigger turbos etc etc. No BOVs. I've used them since 2009 with my 370 Coverted to twin Turbos and trust them. No BOVs.Everything I have researched is these motors do not like atmospheric BOV's - the video shown above uses Dual Ports - at minimum I think you need to do dual ports - personally I'm staying away. AMS Intake, DP, exhaust and tune for me.
I get it and I researched when I got the car and everything I read and has been confirmed by tuners is these are bypass and really non-atmospheric. NO advantage. If you are looking for the "sound" go intakes. I changed my mod list from above it currently is 3" RAE Intakes which sound like a blow off valve, 3" RAE LDP's Resonated, 3" Catback RAE and SonicTuned - in the middle of tuing now. It won't let me post sound clips. I have posted on the "New Nissan Z" group on FB.I looked at the Z1 Performance packages for the Z. Bigger turbos etc etc. No BOVs.
