How to turn off horn chirp when locking or unlocking 2025 Z

I just purchased a 2025 Z Performance and tried to follow instructions to turn off the chirp when locking or unlocking my car. Holding down the lock and unlock for 3 seconds did not work. Maybe the method has changed? Anyone know?

That’s what worked for me the other day. After a couple of seconds the orange flashers flashed 2 or 3 times and after that it was silent when locking.
I hit whichever was on top a half-second before the middle button and it worked. Maybe it’s finicky and if you hit them literally at the same time it doesn’t work, idk.

Go into the steering wheel menu and then into the settings there, its in there

You might check if the dealer installed an aftermarket alarm system. If so, the chime control may differ.

Weird. I turned the chirp off because of the horn and it killed the horn using the fob and the beep using the handle button. I want the beep, just not the honk.
