How difficult was the install? The instructions look pretty straight-forward.Yeah it could possibly help keep the filter cleaner, but mostly to seal the top from hot air when the hood is closed. On turbo cars the filters get dirty quicker regardless. Also the access to remove the filters is very easy on this intake.
gotta dyno it so we can see the difference, got nismo on mineI think the hardest part is to remove the OEM intake. I already had a Nismo intake so it came off in 15 minutes. When installing the K&N make sure the passenger side turbo inlet boot is seated ALL the way on, its a tight fit so its hard to get it fully seated. After that its all gravy. I spent a few extra minutes to make it look as symmetrical as possible to satisfy my ocd..
Heat saok is not relevant on turbos - that air goes through the turbo then to inter coolers and heat exchangers. So don't worry - run them open - just FYII have the nismo CAI and kept them covered because I don't want warm air from the engine bay going back in. I can still hear the air induction when punching it. The CAI improved pickup from a stand-still position and even in the lower rpm range.
did you ever get these? If so, any pics and feedback? These are shipping to me this week RAE Motorsports 3" Titanium in ice blue with zebra welds

Site says video is to large, I also have a PDF I made on install. If you DM me I can email. On FB group "The New Nissan Z" I have posted it there or DM me on FB it lets me attach to DM.I don't think you should ever expect any real gains from an intake tbh. It's just for the sound and aesthetics
Any chance you have some sound clips on this? Would love to hear this in action.Site says video is to large, I also have a PDF I made on install. If you DM me I can email. On FB group "The New Nissan Z" I have posted it there or DM me on FB it lets me attach to DM.
They are THE BEST. Tuners have confirmed they flow the most air. YOU HAVE TO GET tune, MAF can't handle. I have RAE 3" CAT Back and 3" LDP's shipping this week - then Sonictuned Sauce.
They make all the correct noises - you won't be jonesing BOV's. RAE (Morgan RAE) is great to deal with
