I tried them both, straight pipe and resonator.

I went with the resonator complete AT system. Straight pipe was a little too much for us.

Would switch it out if doing a track day or something, but not daily driving.
I think that's the route I am going to take, I am going to install the mid-pipe with the resonators and the exhaust from the AT into my MT. If I want it louder, I will remove the resonated mid-pipe, which is not a big hassle anyway.

Wanted to chime in and share my experience for anyone considering the Remark axleback setup or debating resonated vs. non-resonated.

I started last year by removing the muffler and installing the Remark axleback. It sounded great at first with an aggressive and deep tone, but the interior noise got old pretty quickly. Between the drone and certain frequencies rattling the cabin, it wasnā€™t enjoyable for daily driving or longer trips.

A few months later I added the resonated mid-pipe from Remark, and it made a huge difference. The tone mellowed just enough and most of the drone was gone. I finished the setup last week by adding the Remark Y-pipe, and Iā€™m honestly thrilled with how it all came together. Outside the car it has a strong and clean sound. Inside, itā€™s smooth with no drone, no rattles, and no buzzing like I had when the manual exhaust was straight piped.

The quality of the system is excellent. I was really impressed with the fit and finish, and the exhaust tips sit perfectly against the bumper. It looks just as good as it sounds.

One thing I really like about the Remark system is that you can build it gradually. Since they sell each section separately, itā€™s easy to test out each part and upgrade at your own pace. Just wanted to drop my feedback in case anyone else starts with just the axle-back and ends up frustrated with cabin noise. The full system completely changes the driving experience.

So, I sourced a take off AT exhaust and resonated mid-pipe. I had the new AT exhaust installed today on my 2024 MT Z. First of all, I cannot believe how big and heavy the stock MT exhaust is. If anyone is on the fence, I would try and source an AT exhaust if you have a manual car. The sound is perfect, just loud enough both in and outside the cabin. The sound is very refined and perfect for the personality of this car. I could not play with it too much, as I only have 250 miles on the car, but I can tell it's going to be so much fun ripping on this car once it's broken in. Couple of pics to show the difference.

On eBay itā€™s not a low cost upgrade from what I have seen. If someone has one laying around in central CA, let me know and we can meet up. Have a mini Zā€™s and coffee or Pizza. I will buy lunch and give up a crisp Benjamin!

I paid $300 for the exhaust and the resonated mid-pipe. I would see if the stuff on ebay is "or best offer", allot of these are people who mark this stuff way up and it sits forever, so make an offer see if they take it.

I will check it out, but first I would rather meet up with a fellow enthusiast that is part of the fam and grab a coffee. If that doesnā€™t happen, then I will pay some random.

I think retailers like Z1, ConceptZ, etc also carry the separate Remark pieces.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

With the Remark axleback, you dont have a muffler. With the M/T midpipe not having a resonator, I see why there would be massive drone and rattling inside the Z

I will look into Remark or RAE 3" catback exhaust when I am ready for some tuning for HP gains

Can you post a video of what the full A/T system sounds like parked revving at 2k and 4k rpms like my video? I can wait after your break in period šŸ˜‰

Im on the fence to install a resonator or hi flo cat on the midpipe. Right now, its straight pipe to the A/T axleback. Its the best sounding set up for OEM. Not to loud at idle, and wakes up at WOT

The car is in for PPF today, once I get it back; Iā€™ll get some clips for you.
