Alright i think you guys have convinced me to go with an a/t muffler vs the muffler delete option. I like keeping the stock tips.

I’m still looking for used @ $200 - 300 but I found a new one for $782 on parts.nissanusa.com at a local dealership. nissan is offering free shipping (April 1-30) for $200+ online orders.
Definitely don’t buy it for $782. I found mine on eBay. I think I spent like $360? Even I had a problem with that. Honestly though, that problem went away as soon as I heard my Z start up with the auto muffler. I fell in love all over again. Keep looking on eBay or marketplace and you’ll end up making the right deal. I’m sure someone on this forum has auto muffler laying around in there garage collecting dust!

On the AT exhaust it looks like some of the exhaust bypasses the muffler (the Y portions just before the muffler inlets). Not sure if that’s the case.

i thought the only difference in the NISMO exhaust was the fake noises it played in the cabin.

I thought all of the Z’s play fake noises. I even think my wife’s QX60 plays fake exhaust noise. I could be wrong though

After some research seems dealerships can use consult 3 to turn off ANC and ASE within 5 minutes

Looks like it's Perf and NISMO, but not Sport. From the '24 brochure:

The columns are Sport, Perf, NISMO.

I have seen A/T owners selling theirs on Facebook group. I dont see them on Marketplace. You can ask there and people will chime in. Might get lucky and find someone in your state/city

I have a manual, and swapped out for the AT exhaust, and it’s night and day. Found mine on FB marketplace, it was an hour away and I paid $300 bucks for the exhaust and resonated mid-pipe, car sounds amazing.

Just wondering how the non resonated midpipe sounds with the AT muffler?
I only swapped the auto muffler and it’s amazing. I have the stock manual performance midpipe. I believe the first video on this thread is the same.

I'm wondering if I should replace my AT resonated midpipe for the MT non resonated one? Seems like the perfect solution.

Is your Z an A/T? You might have more drone at highway speeds. With a 9 speed trans, your RPMs will be around 1500-1800 rpms. I notice more drone at those lower RPMs in my M/T Z. It doesnt go below 2k RPMs above 60 in 6th gear

I was surprised how well it sounds inside the car. I had @METROdigital drive my car around while I was standing outside. He went full send and its the sound I was hoping for. Quiet enough cruising to not disturb the neighbors at 6am

I’ve been meaning to do that.

My wife loves the sound of my Z now. She was on same boat as me. She didn’t like how quiet the stock exhaust was but wanted my Z to sound aggressive but not obnoxious. Switching to the automatic muffler did just that.
