went to VIR for some Charity Laps. these are paced no passing laps but still had a chance for a bit more seat time in the Z. was working on my manual mode shifting. I was actually surprised I got to 140mph on the back stretch without even going deep into the braking zone because of slow traffic

I've been doing real laps at VIR since 2004 In a 350z. My GTR owners club would rent full course the entire day just for just 25-30 GTRs for like 5 years in a row. I've got probably a couple hundred real laps there
Never done grand course through at speed. North South and patriot a few laps but every thing else has been full course

so what are the Nismo lap times ? When are you going next? 5 vir days so far this season. Trying to squeeze in one more

Haven't done all out laps with with the Z because it's my autocrosser. My GTR NISMO is around 2:10 up there staying off the curbs and not beating up on the car too much.
Probably going back in April or May

Was pushing the Z NISMO hard on course with traction control off and flew a little close to the sun. I got some snap oversteer and SPUN OUT (Again) my run before was solid but I felt it cutting a little power so I put it back into Traction mode(which runs TC off) for the last run and it bit me. Here is the in car video . I really didn't get any warning it went from grip to nothing instantly. Before that it felt business as usual and I was carrying good speed through the entire course

looks like I spun because my hand accidentally touched the paddle when I went to counter steer the slide. you could zoom in and see the gear changing from 2 to 3 at that moment
It's either that or the Z shifted itself I manual mode. But not sure that's possible even during a spin?
