This is a silly endeavor. (Not meaning this in any disrespectful way). Dealers are only in the game of making money. Period. They will try to get your car from you as low as possible and then they will try to make as much off the new one as possible. This is all they do. They are good at it. If you already payed off your car and it has low mileage, then you are golden.
On the flip side…
If money is not an issue and you are okay with loosing then by all means….
Let’s say you price out a good wrap job. And the amount of money you will loose on the deal is about the same, then maybe snag the new one. Me personally, I could not do it.

Another way to look at it: You'll may lose some money on the deal, but what dollar value do you place on the enjoyment you got from you '23 Performance? If it's more than the depreciation, perhaps you're ahead overall.

They are offering a ā€œconservativeā€ 37,500 to 38,500. I paid 55K in October ā€˜23.

Like I said , this wasn’t an actual consideration. I just felt like starting a convo with you guys. I told the salesman he’s wasting his time trying to sell me but he said he works until 7 and doesn’t mind lol

What are people getting for 24 performances now?

If you find a car that's been sitting for a while, and you are willing to go out of state, you can get a MT performance for around 43-45K.

I would wrap it! you'll probably lose your shirt on a trade, market it just low. would only do this if you can get over 20% off MSRP and decent trade value

Figure out a way to get what you want while minimizing your loss or minimizing how much the dealer profits. If that means simply buying the gunmetal for the lowest price they can offer (a 1 sided deal, no trade in).

Try that and be willing to sell your car private party for more than what they offered, or try getting a few offers like at carmax or other places. Remember your car has "low miles" for a 2023 and they'd love to sell it higher than what they offer you.

Also if you do trade it in, remove the mods and make it stock again. Put mods on new car.
