I had a deposit since 2021 for a GRM model based only on s58 motor rumors. vaporized and dealership returned deposit last year. This Europe only "edition" is admittedly silly

Assuming this is a typo:
"... the 2025 Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition also stops on a dime. 19-inch Brembo front brakes ..."

Nothing against the Supra at all, but is it popular in the Japanese market? Popular enough to sell a suped-up model for more than 2x MSRP? Not to mention the German market, where (in my opinion) it's literally a sexier BMW.
It's like Nissan rebadging/repaneling Corvettes in Bowling Green and selling them in Japan as GT-Rs. Or Jaguar selling F-Types here in the US as Corvettes. Performance aside, how well would that go over?
Reminds me of when GM imported Holdens from Australia and slapped GTO badges on them.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I appreciate automotive history, and when you're talking about legendary/bellwether marques (Supra, GT-R, Corvette, 911, ...) the passion takes a big hit when they're fooled around with.
Unless something takes a bad turn, in the next couple of months I'll trade my Z33 for an RZ34. And there would have been a very good chance it would be a Supra. But for me I want a Supra, not an M2 in a yoga pants.
