I'll never do epoxy again, either G-Floor rollout or the snap-fit tiles will be next for the garage flooring situation.

I'm leaning towards the tiles - either RaceDeck or Swisstrax.

I didn't know Epoxy had it's flaws, kinda heartbroken now.

if its done high end professionally I think its ok for some applications me and my dad rolled on mine out of a kit from the paint store with no experience. it just didnt hold up to cars. parts of it where the weight of the tires dont sit are still fine 8 years later. race deck is the way

I'll definitely be going Racedeck in my next garage.
Yep racedeck is the way to go. Happy to share feedback to those interested. I have the free flow and love it. Especially in the winter with snow melting in the garage it no longer pools. It just flows underneath. Beautiful! I would recommend an industrial vinyl tile cutter. You can get them for about $130 on Amazon. Well worth it. Then a jig saw for the weird cuts. I wouldn’t use a jig saw for all the cuts because it leaves burs. The race deck branded one didn’t seem worth it to me.

I got the tile from racedeck directly when they had one of their 20% off and free shipping promos. Right around $2k for a standard size three car garage.

I didn’t even consider epoxy. The cost to have it professionally done isn’t that much more than getting racedeck. However, it looks like garbage after a few years IMO. You can see where the tire marks are. Once it starts chipping you’re screwed. In the Midwest they salt and cinder the roads which is hard on the epoxy. And you can’t do cool patterns😁

All www.garagejournal.com members get exclusive deals on RaceDeck flooring , apparently you just have to order form them directly and mention that you're a member.

RaceDeck also sponsors "Garage of the Year" awards on that website

Sheesh I like mine better haha! Odd design and wtf is on the walls??
We put up reclaimed wood in our living room on the TV wall and it looked great, especially with the LED strip we had hidden away up top.

EDIT: pic related. Can't believe I don't have an actual picture of just the wall. That was like three phones ago though.

If those LEDs were purple, you'd have a Mons Venus thing going on in the living room.

Is 8 years for epoxy the usual life span?

Well what is left exposed around my race deck is really low traffic. It think with wear a tear it would have needed a new coat by now
