@JonnyG Greetings! I'm one of the few NJ folks with a Z. Where are you at in NJ? (I'm in Millburn now...)

Hope you were waiting for a specific color/interior option, as there are a few stealerships with them sitting on their lot.

I'm in Robbinsville - Mercer County. Yes, specific color combo which I didn't get. Wanted Blue w/Blue gut - wouldn't make that combo so Black Diamond w/Blue gut.

Mod list looks nice. From what ive heard I would avoid the Z1 short shifter. Id also purchase the entire fleet of Z1 suspension and bracing upgrades. This car needs it badly if you are after any kind of road feedback and a stiffer chassis. If you plan on going for more power later save yourself time/money and get a true dual 3" exhaust. These cars struggle with high manifold pressure and its the only thing that can remedy it. If you make any changes in airflow a tune is highly recommended.

If not the Z1 short shifter - which one - couldn't find another option. Have the Barton on my Cat and I never miss, it is my favorite Mod.

I do not know of any other options currently. I just know two people that had to get them removed after installing due to issues with gear position. I know in my 370z I had a similar issue and it was just an adapter plate that wasn't lined up properly. Without it being my own car I cant say for sure if that was their problem. Id like to think the shops checked that though.

We'll I do my own work and installations so I will have to check. For the price I think its worth the try. I can't for the life of me understand why a company like Barton doesn't expand thier offering to other manufacturers beside American Muscle. Looking for a weighted shift knob now - want a traditional sphere with the Datsun Z on top. I believe the knobs are 10mm x 1.25.
