Definitely do the doors, there is zero insulation in the doors, just the trim panel and then bare metal. I did my doors with jute as I didnt want anything permanent, made a nice difference in NVH decrease and made the stereo sound a bit better.

95% FINISHED ceramic coating the whole car!

There are 2 tiny chips in the hood. Waiting on my touch-up paint. I'll fill them in THEN ceramic the hood.

Used ADAM'S GRAPHENE CERAMIC COATING SPRAY (Advanced). Went on great. Rainbowed up, but was a bit difficult to see. I planned on only doing painted surfaces. But, I got some on the trim and it looked INCREDIBLE. Then, I did the glass. HOLY $CHCRACKINS!!!!! It looks great!!

Completely forgot I bought a UV flashlight to check coverage. (This coating has UV tracers in it.) When I was done, I went over the car with the UV light. Some places were not as "glowy". Some looked as if there was a high spot because of streaking. In natural light though, there was no high spot.

I have about 15 hours in this task. Foam/soak/pressure wash. Re-foam and wash. De-iron. Clay, polish with DIY Detail Gold Standard. Wipe down with CSX Wax remover. THEN, ceramic.

The wheels were ceramic-ed with Chemical Guys Wheel ceramic spray. Then I curbed one.

Got my tips back from powder-coating, opted for gloss black and it cleaned up the rear nicely. I wasn't a big fan of the chrome tips.

The corsa resonators slotted nicely in the SOHO x-pipe, plenty of clearance and it really helped to deepen the tone, dramatically reduce drone and lower the total volume across the RPM band.

** Mild revs, Miss Bonnie next door (80+) is out with her chickens, can't be pissing her off, she's the best. **

Finally got some decent weather to snap a sunset pic! Zero regrets on the supra trade. This car is a daily driver legend.

Nice pics, beautiful.
I traded a Z06 corvette for my Z (had a 370 before the vettes; 2 entirely different animals)
The supra seems to be faster, better handling according to reviews. What's you opinion?

My Supra had a more track-focused feel compared to the Z Performance (I can't speak for the Nismo, as I've never driven one). Since I daily drive these cars, the Supra’s stiff suspension, tight cabin, weak stereo, and lack of Android Auto were fun for a couple of years, but I was ready for something more comfortable. Right now, the Z is checking every box for my personal preference. Ideally, I’d love to have both!

My wife was almost in tears about trading in the Supra… until she drove the Z. Now, she’s absolutely thrilled with the switch!

yea, wifey fussed about dumping the Z06 but she hated when I ‘made it wiggle’. It was a Beast & Beautiful. But she’s liking the Z Performance auto. She can drive this, not the vette.
Love my Z. Glad you’re enjoying yours.

Perfect fitment cf overlays. Real cf and amazing quality from aliexpress. Only con is prob the weak 3m tape they use. May consider buying the other trim pieces

I came from the vette world too. Had a couple C5's and was looking at C7's when I decided ro get a new Z instead. Very happy with the choice. Definitely more daily-driver friendly too. I do miss having a naturally aspirated big ol American V8 sometimes but I am holding out for a cheap C4 vette (my favorite body style) to be my project car.

Nothing like a Vette. C7 Z06 was beautiful, Amazing power! amazing acceleration and speed. But it sat in garage too much. Special trips only, kinda impractical to use more often. The Z, and my old 370, are great around town, everyday drivers, and Lots of Fun. Z is an auto, so wife uses it allot (even though she can drive a stick).
I guess I'm not the only former-vette-to-Z guy.
I see some really affordable C6's, maybe for your project.
Enjoy!

I never had a Vette but I was looking at C7s also. But since I needed a daily and I'm not retired, I felt like a car with warranty was in my best interest and wanting a manual trans kinda limits what I was interested in. I was gearing towards a new Mustang (I've owned 3 S550s) but the one I wanted was $67K...a bit more than I really wanted to spend. The Z is 80% of what I want, some money and parts will get me to about 95% lol. The lack of a backseat and storage space in the trunk being the remaining 5% but there's nothing I can do about that lol!
