So when I arrived home today I was Pleasantly Surprised by the Box sent to me from Nissan documenting the limited edition Proto Spec. Check out the photos. Very Nice Touch by Nissan!!

That is so cool! Honestly flabbergasted as to why they didn't promote this as something they'd do. The surprise is nice, don't get me wrong, but I think it's so mission critical to find other ways to set the Proto Spec apart outside of the aesthetics.

Holding out hope that there will be a piece to add to the car that shows this limited edition spec..ie high quality piece to adhere to the transmission tunnel or otherwise!! Maybe they are following these forums and listening??

I've seen this going around on the Canadian cars at the moment..

For my 1988 Special Edition 300zx the Canadian cars got these on the center console. The us cars were never numbered. I don't know why they make some of these decisions for different regions

This is amazing. Its a very nice and unexpected move from nissan. Now am going to keep my eyes open to see if I get one.

Second thought was if I bought a used one from a flipper, I’d engrave “the a**hole” under their name. Lol

Pretty awesome of them to send this! Now all you gotta do is make sure your name is the only one in there until the end of time

How long between the time of purchase and when the box arrived?

I was really surprised Nissan did not badge these cars like Shelby does. Should be a small plate engraved with limited Edition 58 of 240 - something simple would have gone a long way IMHO.

I agree with the Plate and numbering. I suppose with the Initial Z rollout gone wrong they are catching up by doing these things afterwards.

I purchased the car on 9/08/22 and the Box arrived 1/05/23. so bout 4 months. The box was shipped from California.
