I get the transmission thump when I slow roll to a stop over a long distance. What's strange is that it doesn't do it when I use adaptive cruise control behind someone who slow rolls to a stop.

I do get a thump if I pull up somewhere and then immediately put it in Park. My theory is that normally it goes to 1st gear after we've stopped completely, but doesn't know what to do if it reads "too slow to be moving" and just shifts it anyway. Putting it in Park immediately just parks it from 2nd gear. I'll try the same but immediately turn the car off without putting in Park first.
curious to know what the build dates are on these cars with auto issues.

My door sticker says December 2022. Not sure if this is before or after the auto parking situation fix.

Have the dealer check the low pressure fuel pump. The Pathfinders have a very similar concern when coming to a stop, at idle, and when taking off, low pressure fuel pumps are backordered for days, sounds and feels just like everyone's concerns are on here, and they share the same 9 speed AT. When diagnosing feels just like a transmission concern, but it's a surge from low fuel pressure feeding high-pressure pump. Not sure if the z and pf share the same fuel pump, worth the suggestion.

This is very good information. Thank you!

after a few days with the 2024 NISMO I can say it does not lurch forward when coming to a stop. im curious if this applies to the standard 2024 as well

Oh, me too. My 2023 still acts like it doesn't know what to do at really low speeds, either starting or stopping.

My 23 is still lurching when coming to a stop about a third of the time. The problem still occurs randomly. Slow starts seem to be smoother or maybe I have just gotten used to it? The Fairlady and I have a dealer appointment again on Wednesday.

That's a good question. I know one YouTuber said the NISMO's AT has more clutches. So that might be helping.

It has heavier duty clutch packs

There is nothing new to report after today’s dealer visit concerning the lurching forward when stopping. The service advisor did check for new bulletins or any other information about the problem and nothing had been posted. They did however vaguely tell me about a recall. Something about possible loose bolts on the front of the car needing to be checked. They said it required taking off some body panels and would take a couple of hours. I told them maybe we could do that next time. I got my oil changed and got out of there!

Interestingly, I have been city driving a bunch today and it has not lurched a single time. 😃👍

I am having the same lurching issue and it started at a couple hundred miles, but has not really gotten worse. I am at ~1,500 miles and plan to make a service appt at 2,500 miles to get it checked out.

Also, have the same parking sensor issue - it just randomly goes off at a stop light or in a parking garage - it seems intermittent and is easy to remedy, but must be a sensor/software issue.

Lastly, do any of you have an issue with the rear hatch not unlatching all the way when you press the button or the release on the console? It usually takes me two or three presses to get the latch to release - need to have that checked out as well.

Thanks for any feedback!

I am real interested in what your dealer says about the lurching. I have been tempted to get a second opinion at another area dealer.

My parking senor has gone off randomly a couple of times.

My Z does not have the hatch release issue.

Yes, I have the trunk not unlatching issue. There is a Z1 upgrade part that you can change specifically for this. I think I'm going to 3D print something for it.

As for the parking sensor thing, I have that as well. There is another forum post about this on NissanZClub. I think it has to do with cold/frost. But I could be wrong.

Still following for the lurching issue.

I have the sensor issue as well, it also does it on our 24 Pathfinder RC, but far less often.

The rear hatch has been a problem since at least the 370, both of ours had it. As someone mentioned Z1 sells stronger poppers.
