I have a new 2024 sport model and can’t get the CarPlay to connect wirelessly. It works through the USB connection but that is a bit of a pain. I see the manual instructions indicate “if so equipped” so maybe I don’t have the ability to connect wirelessly? Anybody have any thoughts?

The Nissan Z website indicates that wireless CarPlay isn't available on the Sport model.

On my 2024 Performance, CarPlay connects to my iPhone wirelessly within a few seconds of starting the car, but only about 85% of the time. Sometimes it doesn't connect initially, then shows up few minutes later. Nissan's electronics/infotainment implementation has always been a bit wonky, and apparently continues to be.

Thought that might be the case. Thanks.

Not available on the Sport. I have a short usb-c cable that I keep plugged in. Works well and prevents having unsightly wiring hanging out.

Thanks. I found a nice short black one at the $ store. Works good.

Just buy a USB A or C bluetooth dongle. It will make make your Headunit into a seamless wireless Apple Car Play or Android Auto. Use the cigarette port as your USB phone charger (fast charger)

For Canadians only even the performance trim does not have wireless Apple CarPlay . Buy a dongle adaptor on Amazon

Interesting thread. I have been looking at an AAWireless to connect my Android phone to the Z wirelessly. How does a Bluetooth dongle compare? The dongle is definitely cheaper.
