New member here, but not new to the Z. In fact, the 2024 Z that I just bought (Performance, AT, Metallic Silver/Red Accent) is the 9th Z that I've owned since the 240 Z that I bought in 1970. The 240Z was fantastic (as I remember). The 260Z was a dog, the two 280Z's were great, but slow. The two 280ZX's were about the point where the Z became the overweight, bloated GT luxo-cruiser and was the point where I bailed on the Z (except for the 280ZX Turbo, which I bought because...well...Turbo!)That car was a blast. I started back with Z's when the 370Z came out. I've had two of them (2012 and 2014) and THAT car took me back to the 240Z. I opted to trade for the 2024 Z when my 2014 hit 60,000 miles. I confess that I'm a bit skeptical of the RZ34 because I see it as another step toward the Z becoming another bloated luxo-cruiser, but we'll see....without even driving this RZ34, I've already ordered a set of Z1 sway bars because I KNOW it will need them. I'll have to actually listen to it before pulling the trigger on a cat-back, but ... probably.

When I started looking around for a 2024 Z about a week ago, I began with my long-time Nissan dealer about 90 miles from here (local dealer kind of sucks). It showed online that they had the silver/red accent AT Performance in stock. I called and they said that the car wasn't actually in stock, but on a truck somewhere between there and Los Angeles , and that it wasn't spoken for. Over the phone, they offered me $18,000 for my 2014 against $54,425 for the new one (MSRP+dest+floor mat pkg+illlum kick plates+"interior door scuff protection" whatever that is). They called me this morning to tell me it came off the truck this morning, they were prepping it, and I'll pick it up in a couple of days. Only glitch could be the weather. These cars don't go in the snow. This is Minnesota and it snowed last night, hopefully melt by Friday. The last Z I bought from them in March of 2014 they had to deliver 90 miles on a truck (snow) and took my 2012 away. I never set foot in the dealership, we did the deal in my kitchen. It was like ordering a pizza.

Anyway, I'll post back when I pick up the car on Friday. In the meantime....any reason I should consider sway bars other than the ones from Z1?

I installed the Z1 sway bars about a month ago and it's definitely helped with putting the power down at the rear.

So, drove down to the dealer today (90 miles) and did the deal. He gave me high blue book for my 2014 Z w/ 60,000 miles and was happy with MSRP on the Z Performance. How could I say no?

I gotta say....the new Z looks better in person than on YouTube and I was impressed with the performance. It . Is. Fast...

The Z1 sway bars arrive tomorrow.

Picked up a '23 black n blue. Was skeptical of the blue interior but absolutely love it now. It's so bright and fun. 1600 miles on it in two weeks!!

Congrats! Did your Z come with the all weather mats or did you pay extra?

It came with them and all the extra BS... door kick plate, lighted Z door sill panel thing. Could have done without it all bit the all weather mats are pretty good.

It 100% has a presence in person. Makes you feel something lol
I routinely get accosted by admirers in parking lots and gas stations. That happened with my 370Z too, but not nearly so often.

I must say...this new Z is really growing on me. Initially, I found it a bit more...."ponderous"... in its handling than my 370Z. I'm suspecting that that is at least in part due the wimpy sway bars and Bridgestone tires, and by comparison to my 370Z. I have the new Z1 sway bars and my next set of tires will be the trusty old Pilot Super Sports. I must say, after driving 370Z's since 2012, this new Z has a lot of power.

Later this week the local Ford dealer is cutting and installing the PPF and I'll likely have them install the sway bars. Sadly, shortly thereafter, it will then have to go into winter hibernation until March/April.

It does have a floaty feeling stock which isnt the best. Some coilovers and sway bars make a dramatic difference though.

Hello from middle Tennessee. As my user name implies I have owned a Z previously, a 1991 300ZX. Thus my next Z purchase will be my second. It has been interesting watching the trinkle of cars become somewhat of an inventory. Perhaps it will not be long until there are Z cars available for us all.

I'm here from the 370Z forum. o_O
I'm here from The 370Z forum as well. Not much activity here, but understandable considering that there are only about 1500 Proto/2023/2024 Z's in the US right now.

This is my 9th Z car since my original 240Z in 1970. Never expected that I'd find one in the platform that exceeded the thrill I got from the 240Z, then never believed I'd exceed the thrill I got from my 280ZX Turbo....but my 370Z did that...and now I find that with some minor tweaks, the new Z exceeds ALL of them. What a great car.

Same here, but to be fair that forum is also slow. I just don't think forums provide adequate stimulation to the majority of people. They need the Euphoria of posting something get a like immediately.
