I figured I spent enough time fixing that Porsche and needed something equivalent. The Z does not disappoint. While the 1/4 mile time of the Cayman Base and Z are equivalent, the power distribution is completely different.

The improvement in technology on the Z is noticeable I seem to keep running into things I didn't know it had. Like last week using the map function displays the map in the dash board, that's very helpful. The different display settings are a nice touch as well.

I feel that I got a good deal, $56k, 0 miles last month. 420hp I'm not mad about it

I love Porsche! I was tempted in getting in on the old 966 Gen 3 years ago as the only 911 I could afford but due to the infamous IMS bearing plaguing that era I decided to just enjoy from afar

How many miles were on the Cayman? I pondered the idea of getting a Cayman, but I figured that the Z would definitely be easier on my pocket book if issues would arise. I got a Nismo back in late January and love the car so far.

I had about 40k miles and it was a 2018. I fixed quite a few issues, nothing major but I always felt that maybe I was riding on a bomb that might explod one day. Fixing the oil pressure sensor was so ridiculous, im sure the dealer would have charged me a lot more than the $150 dollar sensor.

The Z has been anxiety free just some small issues I'll correct over time. Dunlops are super slippery in the rain. And I get a occasional parking assist warning while not moving after a start up. Probably glitch, if anyone has info on that let me know, otherwise I'll bring it up at my first service.

I get this too in certain traffic situations. For example, I'll be at a stop light (stopped), and a car will approach my rear quarter panel, and the sensor will go off. If I'm moving (even not parking), I'm okay if the sensor beeps.

The dashboard map feature, super helpful in my area on a foggy day

Yeah, sometimes my alarm noises goes off when someone gets too close from behind in traffic. As far as the Dunlops are concerned, I've never driven my car in the rain, I'm too neurotic about getting the car dirty. I think I read that the Dunlops are only good for about 5k miles, if that's true, these tires are going to be a frequent unwanted expense. I'm only at 800 miles so far, not even broke in yet.

Neither have i. What? šŸ¤£
You can get this on the "enhanced" meter view (at least on my '23 Performance). But the "enhanced" meter view is my least favorite. I haven't seen it on the "standard" meter view. Maybe another software upgrade on newer models (like outside temperature on the "sport" meter view on 2024 and newer).

Good choice. It is was a 911 Turbo and you had plenty of other cars for the 75% of the time your Porsche is in the shop, maybe Iā€™d say get a 911. But a problematic Cayman compared to a Nismo, no way. I think youā€™ll love it.

Always wanted a Porsche. If I had Real money. LOL. Glad youā€™re enjoying the Z.
I traded in a ā€˜19Z06 7M corvette.
I think the Z is more useable all around. The vette sat in garage too much.
And the Z is just fun to drive.
