You better have a garage, you'll wake up and find out it's gone on an adventure without you otherwise - 90s cars are getting snatched left and right.

Price, Performance, and driving experience could stop me currently. I do not want to be taken advantage of during a medical pandemic either, it's a bad look.

If the price encroaches on other cars I can more easily justify on the price for what you get, then that'll stop me fast. M240i and certain Mustang price points for example.

If the performance is disappointing, especially for the money, I'll just go elsewhere of course. I'm expecting low 4's with the 6-spd now, good skidpad, and how well it handles it's weight. Since it's not a variable suspension, I'm worried it will be too firm or too soft. I can fix the suspension quickly, but I'm not paying $50k for something I need to do massive changes to. I'll get something else.

Stealership mark ups and availability are huge here for me. They can easily mark them up to no go land quickly, especially when I can get a M240i or Supra with no mark up. Nissan would also lose a second daily driver sale from me as well. I hope Nissan made a lot of these.

But Nissans silence for this long, especially after Canada, Australia, and Japan getting more info and ordering than the US, and especially their silence on pricing, weight, and availability is becoming very alarming.

It's like Nissan forgot the US exists. It's crazy. Car is supposed to be on sale in spring, that's just weeks away.

Beautiful car, great choice.

However, I could never own something like that if it didn't make sense to daily drive it.

These older machines are classics and can't be replaced, especially now that people seem to be driving worse than ever (despite much safer vehicles, car fatalities are way up because people are getting into wicked wrecks) and I would be pissed to get hit in a car like that, let alone worry about it in a parking lot. It would be way too difficult to enjoy.

The new Z will be available for a few years as a new car, so I don't mind as much, if something bad happens to it because it's replaceable/fixable while it's young

As it gets older, if I like it enough, I can retire it to garage duty, but before then I'm not worried to drive it anywhere I want.

I will never ? give into Dealership Greed and allow them to legally steal my ???
I like to remind people, not only are you rewarding greedy dealers, but you'll likely be paying taxes on that greed too, and last I checked no one wants to pay more taxes!

Well, I had to cut my grass for the first time this season, and I thought to myself "where the fuck is the new Z, as far as I'm concerned, this is spring"

I have an older brother who got into computer programming back in its infancy and has done pretty well for himself. He loves to talk about how the wealthy should pay their "fair share" then turn around brag about how much money in taxes his accountant saves him every year.

so the plan is to semi-daily (2-3 a wk) this supra and make my other mkiv the Sunday driver/garage queen.

daily duties will be handled by my 86 and xr. i drove my first mkiv 4-5 times a week for 3 to 4 years.

the plan for the Z was to drive it 3-4 times a week.
