I haven’t tried launch control yet. Did you get a lot of wheel hop at all?

on the street and in my driveway is was pretty smooth no initial spin only a little into 2nd.

on the dragstrip it was bad I guess because of the prep. it hooked one time ok then the others it didnt hook at all and spun through 3rd and even shook the car to where I had to pull over and retighten my engine cover on the way home.

Did some backroad 0-60 testing . Couldn't get 1G of acceleration like at the dragstrip. Ended up with 0.8 and my best 0-60 was a 4.25 using draggy

Haha when your own driveway is better for launch. Huge flex!

I saw 1.3 - 1.4 lateral G at Willow Springs Intl Raceway during ZCON 2023. Wish I had taken a photo or it would be really cool if Nissan provided a way for us to download that data.

I’ve yet to try launch control. Need to find an area I can safely do it on.
It's insanely fun even in my perfomance trim. Got to be more fun in your Nismo. Don't need a super long stretch of road. I've only done it a handful of times but never felt unsafe doing it, the wheels chirp when the gears shift but never felt like I was losing control (which is the point, right?)

I put on 150 break in miles on a cold early morning mountain run. I did not brake or accelerate hard per the instructions, but the book said nothing about lateral movement.

For comparison, I get about the same lateral g on these roads in my Abarth 124 on Ohlins. I am impressed how easy it is to drive this Nismo Z.

Once I get enough miles I will take it to Sonoma and Laguna Seca where I can open it up and find the limits. The Abarth 124 peaks at 1.7g at both tracks. Hoping to see at least 1.3 - 1.4g in the Nismo Z.
