Z Club,

New member here. I've thumbed through threads a bit, and figured I should go ahead and join. Great forum!

Purchase of a Z is on the table for consideration this year, and wanted to inquire on a couple things. I've owned one Z prior, an '86 300ZX, was def one of my favorite cars, with a couple mustangs and trans am in the mix, and otherwise in 4x4 world for past decade+. Currently in a '22 F150 Tremor (tt 3.5L) which I love and will keep, but would be fantastic to park a Z alongside it, as I've always wanted to own another, and am a fan of the current design.

Definitely no interest in hybrids/EV, if they move to that, and actually think I would prefer the notably lagging tech-heavy aspect of the current Z, with more of an old school sports car feel.

Forgive if already covered elsewhere on threads-

As members have noted, the dealers still have the 24 models on lots, and on Nissan's website. Any concerns for the 2025 model, in terms of availability this year? I know Nissan is not in the best shape, and numbers for the Z are crazy low already, far as auto world (I have never seen one in the wild). Or plausible uncommunicated changes causing issues?

2024/2025: Besides paint options, and looks like (optional??) change in grill (I'm still undecided on that) any big considerations I should keep in mind for which year, with the 24's still out there, and seem to still be customizable/order able?

Any big issues experienced with ordering, these days?

Last, any major, no-brainer comments on experiences with options, far as Performance trim goes (manual for sure)?

Really appreciate it in advance, and glad to be on here.

I bought a '24 last November. I don't care about it being 'a year old' (not a '25). If you shop around, you can probably get a below-MSRP price. With Nissan on the financial ropes, I think it's wise to pull the trigger. Hopefully, the '25 won't be the last model year, but also with looming tariffs, the '25's may see a price jump, idk.
Buy. Soon.

I'd echo what @speedjuno stated, I've got a 23' performance manual and I wouldn't change anything from a configuration standpoint, we absolutely love it. Now that they can be had for a reasonable (comparatively speaking) price I'd start zeroing in on a configuration and color combo you like and start the hunt, plenty out there and lots to be saved on picking up a built 24 vs ordering. Your truck sounds great, coyote f150 here but man those EBs roll out and the tremor package is fantastic.

Yeah, threw a JB4 piggyback tune on the EB, and even with 15 extra lbs at each corner, with a lil more lift, on 295/70/18's, it's fun. Nice, re coyote. 469/442 ain't bad! A boosted coyote would be fun..😎

I haven't visited Nissan lot yet. When I bought Tremor, things were in the height of shortages, and many dealers were going way over MSRP. May swing over to dealer this wknd and get the scoop on current costs. Looking like high 40's online regionally, for reasonably optioned Performance. Thanks for input so far.

Let us know what you find! I'm in KY, there looks to be some great deals on a perf manual in our general region on cargurus. Good luck!

I recently purchased my 24 Nismo last month and in those 3 weeks could have probably saved another 3/4k$ but couldn’t not resist any longer. The Nismo prospects I was scouting are still available and dropping every week, with one in particular w/ 4 miles down to 56k$!

Set the terms and don’t budge, they’ll bite!

Looks like @MCN1SMO has dealer net on a Performance at about 48k, here, which is about what I'm seeing regionally at a couple of dealers (most are still low-mid 50's). I'm guessing that means they're at about their floor on pricing. If 56k on Nismo though, sounds like they have it priced several k under dealer cost?🤔

I would probably be out to purchase this weekend, just have some life changes ongoing, and may not have garage space for several weeks/months yet (much less a highly disapproving opinion), and hate for it to spend a single night outside. Guess I could let the truck take a few for the team while the fairlady nestles. First world problems, right?

I had a dealer down here in TN give me 10k under msrp for a Nismo. They had 2 of them at the time, and they had been sitting there for awhile. So they said, "We want to get rid of these". I would say now would be the time to buy before the spring time.

I love my 23 Performance. Good luck and please keep us posted!

My Z stays in a garage in the winter but stays parked in the driveway with a car cover the rest of the year .

Do you have the cover offered from Nissan, @AlanZ ? I'd maybe be willing to do something like this short term anyway, to grab a 24 at discount prices. Maybe. I'm pretty particular/OCD on auto care. Current truck has never lived a night outside garage, and wouldnt want a fair lady to be out in the weather. Call me a gentleman.

It’s not the Nissan cover but rather a cover that was decently priced and does the job.

I hear you and I would feel tremendously better if it was garaged every night!

I personally would buy a 2024. It’s crazy how much they have dropped. It’s an awesome car, but too overpriced. If you plan to purchase a 2025, I’d wait till December of this year or January 2026. That way you can save lots of money for mods or whatever. I bought my 2024 Nissan Z, exactly two months ago, for 44k! Brand new! That’s right, 44k, 6 speed manual performance. The MSRP of my vehicle plate sticker was nearly 56k. The car included bunch of adds on from Nissan. It’s overall depending if you can wait or not. And supposedly, rates are supposed to drop later this year. We’ll see, I don’t see them getting higher though.

It's absurd that you got that ride at 44k.. That's awesome. With you on rates, I don't see them going any higher, and wouldn't be surprised to see them notch down this year, all else staying equal yep. Dealer quoted me 2.9 this week, which, isn't bad. I'm squirming to grab a 2024, just nowhere to park it at moment, and life is, changing, right now, just not sure I'm gonna make the 2024 window..

Yeah I jumped on it, I did however have to pay $1,700 bucks to ship the vehicle to me in an enclosed trailer. I live out in Oregon, and everything’s expensive out here. Still saved roughly 11k. 2.9 is awesome if you ask me, I got my rate at 3.9.

Yeah I get it, priorities, family etc, gotta take into consideration. You can literally get a 2024 performance, right now, for 40k. There’s a couple in Illinois for that price.

Wow, you might have to jump on that!
