for those interested my window sticker was still the old MSRP 49,990. 52,125 with mats kick plates and destination. total amount to the dealer was 51,430. a $250 doc fee and some temp tags and a wire transfer fee is all they added on

Good deal, nice ride. Just curious... what was the determining factor in going with the 9AT over 6MT since you already have the R35?

basically the R35 was the reason. . I had a 2003 350Z and a 2007 NISMO 350z and they were both manual really loved those cars and I actually learned how to drive stick on that 2003. there was a lady at my work back then that had an old geo metro and I drove that car up and down the road for a few days before my Z arrived so I knew how to drive it home. so I literally learned on the Z and a few months later I was autocrossing in it.

but in 2008 when I got my 2009 GTR ive only been driving paddle shift since then. so even though obviously its not the same and not DCT im just so used to it now. I do a bit of track and autocross and that paddle shift driving style is just like second nature to me now. This is my first wheel mounted paddle car as all 3 of my GTRs were all column mounted( before they made the change in 2017) also this will be my every day driver so 9AT just made sense for me.

and yeah im happy with the deal. I was getting so burnt out searching. I do have to pay my state sales tax in a few weeks and I paid a guy to bring it down to me ( would much rather give him the money than dealer ADM) so when its all said and done I will be all in like 55K.

last time I drove a manual was by accident at the NISMO performance Academy at Circuit of the Americas in 2013. there was the track session where they put you in 370zs that were already on the grid and when it was your turn you just walked up to the car that was available. when I walked up to mine is was manual and I hadnt touched one since 2008 :D so I had to knock 5 years of rust off on track. I think I did ok considering lmao

Makes sense. The first car I went and looked at to buy for myself to drive to school was a Metro back in '99. It was some horrible green or turquoise color, 😅 it's hard to remember exactly. Glad I passed on that because the very next car I went and saw was a '90 S13 240SX 5MT which is what I ended up with. Been obsessed with cars ever since. Can't even imagine had I picked the Geo instead.
